What Problems Are Caused by a Deformed Clutch Pressure Plate

A deformed clutch pressure plate will result in uneven contact pressure between the pressure plate,Clutch Plate and flywheel,bringing a series of abnormal driving and clutch system faults.

First,obvious jitter when starting.The vehicle shakes violently at half-clutch position because the deformed plane cannot fit the Clutch Plate evenly.

Second,clutch slipping.The clamping force becomes inconsistent,causing engine speed to rise fast while the vehicle runs slowly,especially when accelerating or climbing slopes.

Third,difficult gear shifting and gear grinding.Deformation leads to incomplete clutch separation,making it hard to engage gears and producing abnormal gear meshing noise.

Fourth,abnormal clutch pedal feeling.The pedal may feel uneven,too soft or too stiff with unstable travel.

Fifth,rapid wear of Clutch Plate.Uneven friction causes partial overheating and serious abrasion of the clutch plate,shortening its service life greatly.

Sixth,burning smell and abnormal noise.Unbalanced friction generates high temperature and a burnt odor,along with rattling or vibrating noise during clutch engagement and disengagement.
